The River Orwell is renowned for its stunning landscapes and deep maritime heritage. As the cruise departs from Fox’s Marina, passengers are treated to peaceful river views before passing beneath the impressive Orwell Bridge, a striking feat of engineering that stretches 1,287 meters across the river. The cruise continues towards the confluence of the River Orwell and the River Stour, marking the gateway to Harwich Harbour, where history and modern industry blend seamlessly.

One of the most breathtaking moments of the voyage is approaching Felixstowe, the largest container port in Great Britain. Here, passengers experience the incredible sight of massive container ships being loaded and unloaded by some of the largest gantry cranes in the world. Towering over the water, these mechanical giants move 40-foot containers with precision, offering a unique and close-up view of global maritime trade in action.

Beyond Felixstowe, the cruise takes in the historic port town of Harwich, home to the world-respected Trinity House, which has played a vital role in maritime navigation since the 16th century.
