An Afternoon with Philippa Gregory

In association with the Bury St Edmunds Literature Festival. Join Philippa Gregory, playwright of Richard, My Richard and one of the world’s foremost historical novelists, whose books include The Other Boleyn Girl and The White Queen, as she brings the Boleyn traitor out of the shadows in an explosive story of one woman’s survival in the deadly dance of the Tudor Court.

Over two decades, Philippa Gregory has proved herself an extraordinary chronicler of the forgotten women in history whose lives have been misrecorded and obscured – most recently in her Sunday Times bestselling non-fiction title, Normal Women. Now, she returns to the Tudor court armed with groundbreaking new research, and reframes a woman famously branded as a traitor, but whose real story was far more complex.

Philippa will talk to us about her new book Boleyn Traitor (out in October) and take questions from the audience. There will be a post-show reception including a book signing.
