Natural Dyeing Workshop

Join us at West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village for a beginner’s taster day where you can try your hand at natural dyeing using plants.

Hear about how the Anglo-Saxons dyed their cloth and the colours they used.

Take home your own dyed samples!
All materials will be provided (including samples of wool, linen and silk).

Extra Info:

• Suitable for ages 12 and over – under 18s MUST be accompanied by an adult
• Meet at the Visitor Centre
• Please wear old clothes and bring an apron.
• The workshop will be held outside and some parts without cover so please dress appropriately for the weather.
• Please bring your own lunch. There is also a café on site
• Does not include admission to the Anglo-Saxon Village
• No Dogs in the Anglo-Saxon Village, assistance dogs only
• Car parking charges apply
