Orwell Lady

Orwell Lady Orwell Lady

The Orwell Lady was originally a Thames River cruiser, moved to Ipswich in 2001. There are three cruises and starting and finish at Orwell Quay.

The River Orwell is renowned for its stunning landscapes and deep maritime heritage and offers peaceful river views before passing beneath the impressive Orwell Bridge, a striking feat of engineering that stretches 1,287 meters across the river, this is the turning point of the 1 hour cruise. The 2 hour cruise continues past the The Cathouse (with its smuggler tales) and then on to view beautiful Pin Mill, home to Arthur Ransome, before returning through the Prince Philip Lock to Orwell Quay, the 3 hour cruise goes all the way down one of the most breathtaking moments of the voyage when approaching Felixstowe, the largest container port in Great Britain. Here, passengers experience the incredible sight of massive container ships being loaded and unloaded by some of the largest gantry cranes in the world. Towering over the water, these mechanical giants move 40-foot containers with precision, offering a unique and close-up view of global maritime trade in action.
