Saxons Badminton in the National Badminton League
“The Saxons are coming! The Saxons are coming!”
And they’re back with an even bigger R-O-A-R than before! The National Badminton League has returned to the Ipswich Corn Exchange and The Saxons will be hosting three fantastic matches this season, aiming to qualify for the Finals in May 2026.
The Saxons will showcase some of the top talent in the country led by international coach & former Olympian, Anthony Clark and Captain, Sean Vendy, ranked World #10 in Men’s Doubles. The NBL is entertaining to watch, exciting to play and aspirational to be part of – for fans, clubs and future talent.
After their first match day victory against Nottingham University in December and very close encounter at Milton Keynes against Skyfall in January, Team Saxons will want to maintain their high league position against the University of Loughborough in February’s half term week, closely followed by Manchester Badminton in March, which promises to be a real head-to-head with Sean taking on his long-standing doubles partner, Ben Lane – an encounter not to be missed!
The action will be fast and furious and every point matters. Watching from a few metres away, the accuracy at such pace is awesome – Come and enjoy high-speed, inspirational badminton in this high-energy, high-impact league in one of the most iconic and atmospheric venues in East Anglia and get behind your team #Saxons-Badminton,#NationalBadmintonLeague
