Aldeburgh Music Club presents:

Christmas Oratorio

Following their sell-out performance of Messiah last year, Aldeburgh Music Club returns to Snape Maltings with one of the best-loved choral works of all time – J.S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio.Written in 1734 for performances over Christmas and New Year, Bach’s sequence of cantatas tells the story of the Nativity, from the birth of Jesus, the visit of the shepherds to the manger, and the worship of the three wise men. The joyous music and glorious choruses celebrate the timeless Christmas message of hope and rebirth.

With four brilliant professional soloists, all of whom have a local connection, accompanied by the Suffolk Baroque Players, conducted by the Club’s Director of Music, Tom Appleton, this will be an evening guaranteed to get you in the mood for Christmas.
