SOUTHWOLD JAZZ CLUB: DENNY ILETT

A remarkably versatile and expansive guitarist/singer, encompassing swing, bebop, blues and everything between, Denny Ilett is also director of the Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival. Formerly with legendary New Orleans singer Lillian Boutté, Denny has recently received great acclaim for his appearances at Ronnie Scott’s fronting the Electric Lady Big Band in his jazz salute to Jimi Hendrix. Expect an evening of swinging blues entertainment with Denny and the Southwold Jazz Club trio of Chris Ingham – piano Geoff Gascoyne – bass & George Double – drums.

 

 

Special guest Jo Fooks was Young Scottish Musician of the Year in 1992 and spent several years as part of Humphrey Lyttleton’s band. Here she is ?in action with our good friend Jo Harrop.
