The War of the Worlds

The War of the Worlds is a Beccles first and will be held at Beccles Quay, Strange Fascination Theatre bring their exciting outdoor version of the popular classic science fiction novel, The War of the Worlds.

In the early part of the 20th Century, strange flashes are seen emanating from Mars, heading towards Earth. Soon, cylinders crash on our planet, and from them, mighty fighting machines emerge – tripods, alien monstrosities, with one, deadly aim… destroy humanity and claim our world as their own. Will anyone survive? And can humanity fight back?

Strange Fascination is a Norfolk-based professional theatre company that produces compelling, immersive shows in genres like horror, melodrama, comedy and family adventure. Having received much critical acclaim, Beccles Public Hall & Theatre is thrilled to have them bring their engaging storytelling, exciting handmade puppets, and high drama to its first outdoor show, on the beautiful town side of Beccles Quay.

* No dogs allowed, other clearly-badged support dogs
* In the event of heavy rain, the performance will take place at Beccles Public Hall & Theatre (within walking distance)
