“A Different Point of View: Blood On The Tracks At 50”

In January of 1975 Bob Dylan released one of the highwater marks of his six decade career – Blood On the Tracks. Often cited as the Bob Dylan album that even Dylan sceptics admire, it’s 10 songs paint an unforgettable picture of a marriage in crisis and the aftermath of divorce. Despite the initial lukewarm response, in the 50 years since its release it has continued to grow in stature and is now widely regarded as one of the finest albums ever made.

Armed with a lifetime’s collection of records, CDs and video recordings, lifelong “Bobcat” Steve Garlick will investigate the background to the songs, their complex recording history, and shine a light on their long and fascinating afterlife as Dylan reshapes and revisits them to reflect his musical and emotional changes over the past 50 years.
