The Mayor's Charity Ball
The Mayor’s Charity Ball
Hosted by Beccles Public Hall and Theatre and Mayor Joseph Athorn, the Beccles Mayor’s Charity Ballreturns for an elegant black-tie evening celebrating community spirit and raising vital funds for the 2026 Mayor’s Appeal.
This year’s appeal is dedicated to illuminating and enhancing Beccles Quay, transforming one of the town’s most visible riverside landmarks into a brighter, more welcoming gateway for residents and visitors alike.
The evening features live entertainment from three accomplished local performers. Jack Ollett brings a wealth of festival and theatre experience to the stage; Jody Chapman, winner of Beccles Got Talent, delivers standout vocal performances; and Shaun Graham brings the polished, high-energy showmanship honed through his professional residencies at Warners Resorts.
Alongside the entertainment, a charity auction offers local businesses the chance to donate prizes or services, with all proceeds going directly to the Beccles Quay improvement project.
