The award-winning and critically acclaimed blues artist from Liverpool returns to The Apex on his debut solo acoustic ‘On My Own’ tour.

Laurence Jones has opened for the likes of Ringo StarrSir Van MorrisonJeff BeckJohnny WinterWalter Trout and recently Status Quo; and after joining Buddy Guy on stage to jam and experience the blues first hand, Buddy remarked “he’s like a young Eric Clapton” and that pretty much says it all.

Laurence Jones has built up a loyal fan base throughout the UK and Europe, signing his first record deal at just 17, gaining him many awards and accolades with his critically acclaimed blues album ‘Thunder In The Sky’ in 2012. Fast forward over a decade on the road and 1200+ shows under his belt, Laurence’s debut solo album ‘On My Own’ feels intimate and personal yet simultaneously bursting with the power and tradition of the blues. Laurence Jones proves once again why he’s considered one of the absolute top performers in the genre.

Jones continues to add to a career that already includes multiple British Blues Awards, over 50,000 albums sold worldwide, number one album in the Official UK Jazz & Blues chart. This time, however, the focus is less on charts and accolades and more on telling his story through stripped-down, heartfelt blues.

“There are many singer-songwriters recording and performing but not many as accomplished as Laurence Jones” – Blues In Britain
