The UK’s leading New Orleans style clarinettist Adrian Cox and swing guitar specialist Honey Boulton are joined by the Chris Ingham Trio for an unmissable evening of swinging early jazz entertainment.

Internationally acclaimed clarinetist Adrian Cox is a leading authority on New Orleans music, bringing an authentic and electrifying voice to the idiom. As a celebrated exponent of the style, Cox has dedicated his career to preserving and pushing the boundaries of early jazz, earning praise for his masterful technique, deep historical knowledge, and infectious energy on stage. His unrivalled feel and virtuosity for the music he plays have led to concerts with the biggest names in jazz including two concerts with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra both in London and New York.

Honey Boulton specialises in swing and bebop guitar, and has what is described by Soweto Kinsch (of BBC 3) as “…a timelessly authentic sound” After recently returning to the UK from his hometown Wellington, New Zealand, he has become a solid proponent of the musical landscape that is the London jazz scene, performing at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Dean Street, The 100 Club, as well as regularly touring abroad, playing at clubs such as Duc De Lombards (Paris), and Unity Jazz Göteberg, and playing at international festivals, such as Festival Django Reinhardt. With a love of a wide breadth of styles and artists, he is able to play across the board stylistically, with a joy that is positively contagious.
