Every Natural Sound – Annabel Kennedy and Daniel Silcock

Every Natural Sound is an exploration of music as growing out of its local landscape: its voices, its rhythms, its language, and the unique idioms of the places in which people live.

Across this programme, traditional melodies and folk dances are woven together with the sounds of the natural world to create music that is both deeply rooted in place and also transformed by the imaginations of Benjamin Britten, Cécile Chaminade, Frank Bridge, Joseph Canteloube, and John Ireland. “Every natural sound” is a line lifted from Harold Monro’s “Earth’s Call”.

Each ticket includes a glass of fizz (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and a slice of cake.
